Resting the Land on the Sabbatical & Jubilee Years

| The Sabbatical year marks the completion of 6 years of hard work which the farmer did everything in his power to work the land. The Torah tells us in this week's portion Behar...to let go. Much like Shabbat in the week, the Sabbatical year is within the land. The Jubilee year marks an even higher level of return on the 50th year, 7 times 7 Sabbatical years. |
