Deuteronomy 18:15-18

The Lord your God will establish a prophet, like myself; him you shall listen to. This is just what you asked of the Lord your God at Horeb, on the day of the Assembly, saying, 'I don't want to hear the voice of God, my God any more, or see this great fire any more, so that I will not die!' The LORD said to me: ‘They have spoken well! I will raise them up a prophet from among their brothers. I will put My words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything that I command him.'

 

ื ื“ืจื™ื ืœืดื— ื:ื–ืณ

ืืžืจ ืจื‘ื™ ื™ื•ื—ื ืŸ: ืื™ืŸ ื”ืงื‘"ื” ืžืฉืจื” ืฉื›ื™ื ืชื•, ืืœื ืขืœ ื’ื‘ื•ืจ, ื•ืขืฉื™ืจ, ื•ื—ื›ื, ื•ืขื ื™ื•. ื•ื›ื•ืœืŸ ืžืžืฉื”.

 

Rabbi Yochanan said: God only allows His presence to rest on a person who is strong, wealthy, wise and humble. All of these requirements are derived from Moses.

 

ื. ืžื™ืกื•ื“ื™ ื”ื“ืช ืœื™ื“ืข ืฉื”ืืœ ืžื ื‘ื ืืช ื‘ื ื™ ื”ืื“ื. ื•ืื™ืŸ ื”ื ื‘ื•ืื” ื—ืœื” ืืœื ืขืœ ื—ื›ื ื’ื“ื•ืœ ื‘ื—ื›ืžื” ื’ื‘ื•ืจ ื‘ืžื“ื•ืชื™ื• ื•ืœื ื™ื”ื ื™ืฆืจื• ืžืชื’ื‘ืจ ืขืœื™ื• ื‘ื“ื‘ืจ ื‘ืขื•ืœื, ืืœื ื”ื•ื ืžืชื’ื‘ืจ ื‘ื“ืขืชื• ืขืœ ื™ืฆืจื• ืชืžื™ื“ ื•ื”ื•ื ื‘ืขืœ ื“ืขื” ืจื—ื‘ื” ื ื›ื•ื ื” ืขื“ ืžืื“.

It is one of the principles of faith to know that God communicates to man via prophecy. In order to receive prophecy, a person must be extremely wise, a master of his emotions, and unperturbed by his evil inclination in worldly matters. He must constantly control his evil inclination with his mind, and he must have an extremely broad and fine mind

(ื) ื•ึฐื”ึธื™ึธื” ืึทื—ึฒืจึตื™ ื›ึตืŸ ืึถืฉืึฐืคึผื•ึนืšึฐ ืึถืช ืจื•ึผื—ึดื™ ืขึทืœ ื›ึผึธืœ ื‘ึผึธืฉื‚ึธืจ ื•ึฐื ึดื‘ึผึฐืื•ึผ ื‘ึผึฐื ึตื™ื›ึถื ื•ึผื‘ึฐื ึนืชึตื™ื›ึถื ื–ึดืงึฐื ึตื™ื›ึถื ื—ึฒืœึนืžื•ึนืช ื™ึทื—ึฒืœึนืžื•ึผืŸ ื‘ึผึทื—ื•ึผืจึตื™ื›ึถื ื—ึถื–ึฐื™ึนื ื•ึนืช ื™ึดืจึฐืื•ึผ: 

(ื‘) ื•ึฐื’ึทื ืขึทืœ ื”ึธืขึฒื‘ึธื“ึดื™ื ื•ึฐืขึทืœ ื”ึทืฉึผืึฐืคึธื—ื•ึนืช ื‘ึผึทื™ึผึธืžึดื™ื ื”ึธื”ึตืžึผึธื” ืึถืฉืึฐืคึผื•ึนืšึฐ ืึถืช ืจื•ึผื—ึดื™: 

 

"When you open a book and see everything there, yet one thing twinkles before your eyes and pulls at your soul, and you feel what is touching you" (Hachsharat, 2)

"Sometimes the Rebbe will say a word of Torah, and one of the Hassidim will be shocked and say - that was meant only for me... yes, sometimes speaking about the Torah and giving guidance is a sparkle of prophecy, and all prophets were given the prophesy that the people needed at that time." (Mevo, 29)
